José Ignacio Lapido "Olvidé decirte que te quiero"

Suave era el viento,
dulce era el licor,
sonaba en el estéreo
Little Willy John.

Mi mente se extravió de nuevo
por otra dimensión
y olvidé, mi amor,
decirte que te quiero.

Mundos paralelos
girando alrededor,
lejanos e imperfectos,

The The "I can´t escape from you"

I've tried and tried to run and hide
To find a life that's new
But wherever I go I always know
I can't escape from you

A jug of wine to numb my mind
But what good does it do?
The jug runs dry and still I cry
I can't escape from you

These wasted years are souvenirs
Of love I thought was true
Your memory is chained to me
I can't escape from you

There is no end, I can't pretend
That dreams will soon come true
A slave too long to a heart of stone
I can't escape from you

Iggy Pop "Livin´on the edge of the night"

You went off the river
Smoke stacks fade to blind
This town's my own, ridin'free and alone
And I'm looking back
Maybe I know some people
Maybe I break some rules
But this is the street, I've got to compete
Baby, I ain't no fool

So I take a little bad with the good
It ain't just black and white
(It still ain't black and white)
You've got to deal with the real
Woo, living on the edge of the night

Every wild desire
Beckons from the dark
I've made my bed but I can't risk my head
While I still swim with sharks
Everyone needs something
Sometimes they don't know why
But so much good's been misunderstood
In the blink of the eye

(Repeat )

You say that you don't like it
Or maybe it's just my life
So you live yours and I'll keep mine
Rolling like a wheel through the city
Living on the edge of the night
And when the black rain's down
In this cold gray town
I'll be waiting
Waiting at the edge of the night
Woo, living on the edge of the night
Woo, living on the edge of the night

Peter Murphy "Cuts you up"

I find you in the morning
Te encuentro por la mañana,
After dreams of distant signs
tras haber soñado con señales distantes.
You pour yourself over me
Te posas sobre mí
Like the sun through the blinds
You lift me up
Me haces levantarme,
And get me out
y me sacas afuera.
Keep me walking
Me haces caminar,
But never shout
pero nunca gritas.
Hold the secret close
Guárdame el secreto,
I hear you say
te oigo decir.
You know the way
Sabes
It throws about
cómo sucede.
It takes you in
Te domina por dentro,
And spits you out
y te escupe por fuera.
It spits you out
Te escupe por fuera.
When you desire
Cuando lo deseas,
To conquer it
para conquistarlo,
To feel you're higher
para hacerte sentir superior.
To follow it
Para seguirlo,
You must be clean
debes estar limpio,
With mistakes
Limpio de errores
That you do mean
que puedas cometer.
Move the heart
Mueve el corazón,
Switch the pace
cambia el paso.
Look for what seems out of place
On and on it goes
Una y otra vez, sigue.
Calling like a distant wind
Llamándote como una brisa distante.
Through the zero hour we'll walk
Desde la hora cero, caminaremos
Cut the thick and break the thin
contra viento y marea.
No sound to break no moment clear
When all the doubts are crystal clear
Crashing hard into the secret wind
rompiéndose entre el viento secreto.
You know the way
Sabes la forma en que
It twists and turns
gira y gira.
Changing colour
Cambiando el color,
Spinning yarns
tejiendo los hilos.
You know the way
Sabes la forma en que
It leaves you dry
te deja seco.
It cuts you up
Es algo que te hace pedazos,
It takes you high
y te da un subidón.
You know the way
Conoces el camino
It's painted gold
pintado de oro.
Is it honey
¿Es miel?
Is it gold
¿Es oro?
You know the way
Sabes la forma en que
It throws about
te domina por dentro,
It takes you in
te atrapa
And spits you out
y te escupe fuera.
You know the way
Sabes la forma en que
It throws about
te domina por dentro,
It takes you in
te atrapa
And spits you out
y te escupe fuera
It spits you out
y te escupe fuera.
When you desire
Cuando lo deseas,
To conquer it
para conquistarlo,
To feel you're higher
para hacerte sentir superior.
To follow it
Para seguirlo,
You must be clean
debes estar limpio.
With mistakes
Limpio de errores
That you do mean
que puedas cometer.
Move the heart
Mueve el corazón,
Switch the pace
cambia el paso.
Look for what
Busca lo que
Seems out of place
parece fuera de lugar
It's o.k.
Está bien
It goes this way
será así.
The line is thin
La línea es delgada,
It twists away
y cambia de sentido.
Cuts you up
Te hace pedazos,
It throws about
y se lanza.
Keep me walking
Me hace caminar,
But never shout

Tindersticks "I´ve been loving you too long"

I've been loving you too long
Should stop now
You're tired and you want to be free
My love grows stronger as you become a habit to me
I've been loving you a little too long
I can't stop now
With you my life has been so wonderful
I can't stop now
You're tired and your love is growing cold
My love grows stronger as our affair grows old
I've been loving you a little too long
I can't stop now
I've been loving you a little too long
I can't stop now
Don't make me stop now
Don't make me stop now

Michael Winner (1935-2013)

Astrid "Something in my way"

Thank God for winter rain
Clearing out the poison in my mouth
This city, stuck to me
It summarises all my worries

Collapsing under my own weight
The line along which my movement takes
I fall down, I sink deeper
Drinking fast so I'll get there quicker

Nowhere's perfect, chose this place with care

Always something in my way

Mourning over stupid things I'd change
Always something in my way
I can't remember things
The walk I took, the colour of your door
I feel sick, I feel worried
But always get there in a hurry

I'm scared of what you think
If I showed you how I really am
I get drunk, I get erratic
But always seem to end up static

Nowhere's perfect, chose this place with care
Always something in my way
Mourning over stupid things I'd change
Always something in my way
Nowhere's perfect, chose this place with care
Always something in my way
Mourning over stupid things I'd change
Always something in my way
Always something in my way

The Waterboys "Too close to heaven"

All your trouble will be over, so will your pain
you are gonna see those blue skies bursting right through the rain
The higher you climb, the lower you fall
You got too close to heaven, that's all
Now in the morning you can cry all you want to
- we'll spend the whole day weeping
Right now I want you to lay down your weary head
and let me see you sleeping
You've been walking around baby, inflamed and ashamed
feeling like you're one inch tall
You got too close to heaven, that's all
You're way too hard on yourself baby
- you got some pretty basic things wrong
You wouldn't believe me if I told you why I wrote you into this song
You're looking at your heart baby, and you're calling it black
but like Icarus and like Saul
You got too close to heaven, that's all
Now I know this hurt you're feeling - I've felt these same things too
I've got spaces way down deep inside of me that are just the same as you
You wanna wrap your arms around your head, turn out the lights
and roll yourself into a ball
You got too close to heaven, that's all
Are you blinded by the brilliance ?
Are you dazzled by the Light ?
Why is it I see nothing but emptiness in your tired beaten eyes
that once were bright
I know you just can't help but run when you hear that sweet voice call
You got too close to heaven, that's all
I walked a mile for you baby
so won't you smile for me baby ?

John Lee Hooker "It serves you right to suffer"

It serve you right to suffer, serve you right to be alone
Serve you right to suffer, serve you right to be alone
Because you're still livin' in days done past and gone

Ev'rytime you see a woman she make you think of yours
Yeah, ev'rytime you see a woman she make you think of yours
And that's why, that's why, that's why you can't keep from cryin'

Your doctor put you on milk, cream and alcohol
Your doctor put you on milk, cream and alcohol
He told you that's why you can't sleep at night
From nerves, so bad, yeah

Ev'ry time you see a woman she makes you think of yours
Ev'rytime you see a woman she make you think of your own
She treated you so bad you just couldn't keep from cryin'

Umm, mmm, mmm, your life never be the same
Umm, umm, mmm, you're still livin' in the days
Done gone past and gone and memories, yeah, yeah

You can't live on in that way, in the past
Them days is gone, gone

Sugar "If I can´t change your mind"

Tears fill up my eyes
I'm washed away with sorrow
And somewhere in my mind
I know there's no tomorrow

I see you're leaving soon
I guess you've had your fill
But if I can't change your mind
Then no one will

And all throughout the years
I've never strayed from you my dear
But you suspect I'm somewhere else
You're feeling sorry for yourself

Leaving with a broken heart
I love you even still
But if I can't change your mind
Then no one will

Even though my heart keeps breaking
Don't you know that I'll be waiting
Here for you
Then when you return

When will you return
I hope you see I'm dedicated
Look how long that I have waited
If you come back then you will find

A different person
If you change your mind

How can I explain away
Something that I haven't done
And if you can't trust me now
You'll never trust in anyone

With all the crazy doubts you've got
I love you even still
But if I can't change your mind
Then no one will

Someday you'll see I've been true
I'll stay that way until
But if I can't change your mind
Then no one will

Blue Nile "From a late night train"

From a late night train
Reflected in the water
When all the rainy pavement
Lead to you
It's over now
I know it's over
But I can't let go

The cigarettes, the magazines
All stacked up in the rain
There doesn't seem to be a funny side
It's over now
I know it's over
But I can't let go

From a late night train
The little towns go rolling by
And people in the station
Going home
It's over now
I know it's over
But I love you so

Maimuny "Cada minuto"

Peter Murphy "Let me love you"

Love me now
Until the end of time
See me over your heart
In the night
Never let me go until you see
All the scenery and faking
Fall away from me

Oh let me love you in the morning light
Oh let me give you cover until it's alright
Oh let me feel you come into my arms

The saints have come over
They stayed all night long
Save your heart till the end of time... they say..
...Come over now, approach from every side
Give your heart till the end of time

Oh let me love you in the morning light
Oh let see you over until it's alright
Oh I fall so blue, coming to your arms
Oh let me see you over, until it's all...
