Tom Verlaine "Ancient Egypt"

"
The minute I lay my head on the pillow
I'm in ancient Egypt, I can feel it glow,
Warm and gold,
Gold and warm.
And I'll see you there all dressed in raindrops,
Need I explain? I don't think so, Pops,
Warm and gold,
Gold and warm.
I've been working,
I've been chopping wood,
And this makes me a hungry man.
And every time I
Look up in my dream,
I feel the touch of your sweet hand.
I sit here now and watch you rub your leg,
You tell me baby, that's just OK,
OK, OK,
OK
And I like to watch that ripple effect,
As long as there is no shipwreck,
Yes I do,
Oh, yes I do.
I've been working,
I've been chopping wood,
And this makes me a hungry man.
And every time I
Look up in my dream,
I feel the touch of your sweet hand.
Yes, I used to have one or two reservations,
So what?
Well, so what?
It's a likely story, it's not hard to tell,
Maybe you and I will be in for a spell,
In and out,
Out and in.
I've been working,
I've been chopping wood,
And this makes me a hungry man.
And every time I
Look up in my dream,
I feel the touch of your sweet hand.
Yeah, I've been working,
I've been chopping wood,
And this makes me a hungry man.
And every time I
Look up in my dream,
I feel the touch of your sweet hand.

The Verve "See you in the next one (Have a good time)"

"
How hard is to me to wait for you, my love
See you in the next one, have a good time
Could be a lifetime before I see you again, my love
See you in the next time, have a good time

And eyes, they open wide
And eyes, they open wide
I liked the way it was
I hate the way it is now

Lack of time and a wasted weekend, my love
You wore your lies like a film star

And  eyes, they open wide
I liked the way it was
I hate the way it is now

Goodbye love, goodbye love
Oh,oh, goodbye love
Oh, oh, goodbye love
Oh, oh, goodbye love
Goodbye love, goodbye love
Goodbye love, goodbye love

Mark Lanegan "Field song"

"
Let's walk down to the water
There's hyacinth in bloom
I spend my days
Lovin' you
I left these fields
Because I never knew
To be a horse
To be a train
I wouldn't have the heart
And next to the tracks
You find an apple cart
Maybe we'll stay at home
And be together no more to move alone
Together no more to move alone
See the water It's mixed with light
For you I've been shaken
Regarding the fields
Humbly mistaken

Mark Lanegan "House a home"

"
Here ya are, at the top of the tower
Could a body take that much
Alone through every waking hour
Asleep without nobody to touch

Whoa,whoa,whoa,and
Only silence here
Whoa,whoa,whoa,and
Lonely silence here
And I'm not the one
Make your house a home
Makes no sense to stay
Through one more lonely last day
Oh no babe, it's not right

Here ya are, cryin' in the night
Could a body take that much
Find yourself standin' outside
You ain't got nobody to touch

Whoa,whoa,whoa,and
There's only silence here
Whoa,whoa,whoa, and
There's only silence here
And I'm not the one
make your house a home
Makes no sense to stay
Through one more lonely last day
oh no babe, it's not right

The National "Terrible love" (Alternate version)

"
It's a terrible love that I'm walking with spiders
It's a terrible love that I'm walking in
It's a terrible love that I'm walking with spiders
It's a terrible love that I'm walking in
It's quiet company, it's quiet company

It's a terrible love and I'm walking with spiders
It's a terrible love that I'm walking in
It's a terrible love and I'm walking with spiders
It's a terrible love that I'm walking in
It's quiet company, it's quiet company
It's quiet company

And I can't fall asleep
Without a little help
It takes awhile to settle down
My ship of hopes
Wait til the past?

It takes an ocean not to break
It takes an ocean not to break
It takes an ocean not to break
It takes an ocean not to break

Company
It's quiet company
It's quiet company

But I won't follow you into the rabbit hole
Last night I woke but then I saw
Your shiver bones
They didn´t want me to

It's a terrible love and I'm walking with spiders
It's a terrible love that I'm walking in
It's a terrible love that I'm walking with spiders
It's a terrible love that I'm walking in

It takes an ocean not to break
It takes an ocean not to break

Roxy Music "More than this" y "Lost in translation"

"
I could feel at the time
There was no way of knowing
Fallen leaves in the night
Who can say where they´re blowing
As free as the wind
Hopefully learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning

More than this you know there´s nothing
More than this tell me one thing
More than this oooh there is nothing

It was fun for a while
There was no way of knowing
Like a dream in the night
Who can say where we´re going
No care in this world
Maybe I´m learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning

More than this you know there´s nothing
More than this tell me one thing
More than this no, there´s nothing

More than this nothing
More than this
More than this nothing

Jesus & Mary Chain "Just like honey"

"
Listen to the girl
As she takes on half the world
Moving up and so alive
In her honey dripping beehive, beehive
It's good, so good, it's so good, so good
Walking back to youIs the hardest thing thatI can do
That I can do for youFor you
I'll be your plastic toyI'll be your plastic toyFor you
Eating up the scumIs the hardest thing forMe to do
Just like honey (x15)

The Church "Fading away"

"

Don't come to pieces in my hand
White stars reflecting dust and sand
That perfume makes me think of grief
Shake the faith shake the belief
Who's there to say that we're living this moment
Feels like I'm in a play
The sets and the props of this, your apartment
Seem to be fading away, fading away
So I wander through these rooms
I feel the orbit of the moons
And I dream what I become
And all's forgotten by the sun

Entrevista en la web Creatividad Literaria

MANOLO D. ABAD "NO ME GUSTA SOLTAR ROLLOS"

"

No me distraigas,
le estoy haciendo un hijo al mar.
No me lo traigas,
yo no quiero saber ná.

No me tientes más
con el bien,
siempre tengo sed,
¿por qué?

No me molestes,
ahora quiero engañar al sol.
No me lo cuentes
¡si no lo voy a contar yo!

No me tientes más
con el bien,
siempre tengo sed,
¿por qué?

Cuando yo no esté,
acuérdate
de estar donde yo
no esté.

Y no se lo cuentes a él.

No me entretengas,
el viento ha pujado por mí.
Ajusto cuentas
y me largo de aquí.

No me tientes más
con el bien,
siempre tengo sed,
¿por qué?

Cuando yo no esté,
acuérdate
de estar donde yo
no esté.

Cuando yo no esté,
acuérdate
de estar donde yo
no esté.

Y no se lo cuentes a él.
