I wrote a poem on a dog biscuit
Y tu perro se negó a mirarlo
And your dog refused to look at it
Entonces me emborraché y miré al Empire State Building
So I got drunk and looked at the Empire State Building
No era más grande que una moneda de cinco centavos
It was no bigger than a nickel
Y si no mejora
And if it don´t improve
Entonces tendré que mudarme
Then I have to move
Nunca pensé que terminaría aquí.
I never thought I would end up here
Tal vez debería cambiar de estilo
Maybe I should just change my style
Pero me siento bien cuando sonríes
But I feel alright when you smile
Me quedé en casa el cuatro de julio
I stayed at home on the 4Fourth of July
Y bajé las persianas para no tener que contemplar el cielo
And I pulled the shades so I didn´t have to see the sky
I decidí tener una cama allí
And I decided to have a bed in
Pero olvidé invitar a alguien
But I forgot to invite anybody
Y cuando me quedé dormido
And when I fall asleep
Los vecinos echaron un vistazo
The nieghbours had a peep
Nunca pensé que terminaría aquí
I never thoght that I would end up here
Tal vez debería cambiar mi estilo
Maybe I should just change my style
Pero me siento bien cuando sonríes
But I feel alright when you smile
